After 18 months, the terms ‘Google Classroom’ and ‘Zoom’ may never want to be heard again in the context of education, and perhaps rightfully so. Throughout the pandemic teachers have proven their resilience and their ability to adapt. Developing lesson plans suitable for screen, creating content parents are capable of understanding, and finding creative methods to ensure students can get the most out of their learning, all whilst being a support system they can reach out to. So much of classroom engagement relies heavily on student responses and reactions, which is extremely difficult to achieve through a screen. Teachers are exhausted… and we at Kinect are here to help.

We understand the struggles of remote learning and, before 2020, probably would have scoffed at the idea of teaching dance online until it became critical. Movement is essential in maintaining a healthy mind and body and moving at home is better than not moving at all. As a result, all our dance programs can be tailored to suit online mediums, so in the event of a snap lockdown students can still take to their screens and shake the covid-blues away. Lessons are fun, energetic, light-hearted, and not only gives the children an opportunity to step away from fractions, but for the teachers to sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
