Kinect2Dance is a school based program provider meaning all of our programs are designed specifically for schools, tested in schools and our wonderful teachers are trained to work with students from all walks of life.
We offer fully customised dance and fitness programs for primary and secondary schools across Australia. Our dance programs provide students the opportunity to participate in and learn a range of different dance styles within the comfort of their school environment. Our highly experienced instructors teach a variety of modern and traditional dances that encourage students to develop resilience, co-operation, mindfulness and confidence in fun and energetic dance lessons. Each Kinect2Dance program is fully customised to your school’s needs and fulfils the requirements of the dance component in your curriculum.
At Kinect2Dance, we offer dynamic and engaging Performing Arts incursions, specialising in Dance and Production. Our programs are more than just dance lessons—they are designed to inspire resilience, self-expression, and personal growth in your students. We cater to schools with fully customised programs, ensuring every lesson aligns with your school’s unique goals, while also meeting curriculum requirements in both Performing Arts and Physical Education.
Our lessons feature a wide variety of age-appropriate dance routines spanning a broad range of dance styles. Each program is specifically tailored to your school’s needs and can work towards various outcomes, such as:
No matter the event, our programs promote an alternative learning environment that encourages free physical expression while building respect and understanding between students and teachers.
At Kinect2Dance, we believe that dance is a tool for building resilience and self-confidence. Our approach goes beyond teaching choreography; we foster a culture of accepting mistakes and growing from them. We understand that, just like in the classroom, students will occasionally miss a step or make an error. Rather than focusing on perfection, we encourage students to embrace these moments as part of their journey toward self-awareness and social acceptance.
By cultivating a “give it a go” attitude, we teach students to develop persistence, overcome challenges, and work collaboratively in a supportive environment. This process promotes both individual growth and community building within the classroom.
These dance sessions run for 40mins – 45mins depending on bell times. A focus on fine motor skills, team work and co-operation, communication and language development, fitness, memory skills and fun!
Our dance programs are carefully designed to meet the educational outcomes outlined in both the Performing Arts and Physical Education curriculums. This ensures that while students are enjoying the freedom of creative expression, they are also fulfilling key learning objectives.
Our programs are tailored to suit the needs of your school, and your satisfaction is our mission. We are committed to providing an exciting, positive, and inclusive experience where students can express themselves, grow, and celebrate their unique talents.
Bree says “To build students’ confidence and resilience in schools, children need to be given the opportunity to learn without ‘right or wrong’. A number of school subjects have to be learnt or taught a particular way in order for that question or answer to be correct ( 2 + 2 must equal 4). The beauty of the Arts, and Dance, is that it is completely open to interpretation therefore the simple act of ‘giving it a go’ means success for that student. The power is positivity in education is boundless.”
