THE. IMPORTANCE. OF. PERFORMING. ARTS

So, what exactly can the Performing Arts do for you and your children?

Like many creative outlets, Performing Arts is a form of expression that encourages individuality and creativity. Particularly for children dancing, singing and drama is both physically and mentally challenging as it stimulates their brain, body and emotions simultaneously. It encourages the exploration of their internal world, improves memory, builds self confidence, and long-term can assist in overcoming fear and anxiety induced by public speaking. Creating a familiarity with exposure, whether that be singing in a spotlight or dancing in front of the family in the living room, can help people find comfort in the uncomfortable, a useful tool that can be applied to many aspects of life.

Performing arts builds mindful, healthy habits essential to living well. It hones in on individual intelligence, awareness, compassion and empathy, whilst teaching discipline, music, leadership and communication skills all through an enjoyable activity.

Here at Kinect we appreciate the Performing Arts and the joy it brings to our students, and understanding the positive impact it has on their development long-term makes it even more special which is why our P.A incursions are our biggest sellers. Kinect services many schools who do not have a P.A teacher on staff as well as those schools who want to support their specialist teachers as dance is not everyone’s strength.
